Benefit Concert for Denise Hopkinson

Featuring Jon Brindley, Ben Walker and Chris Knowles

Tonight will be an evening of quality songs and music for Denise Hopkinson. Denise is a lovely soul who is now facing terminal cancer and whilst she asks for very little everyone involved in tonight's benefit concert are hoping to raise funds to help her spend as much time as possible with her loved ones. Your donations and monies raised from the ticket sales will be greatly appreciated by Denise and her family.

Jon Brindley
Jon has played in piano bars, major folk festivals, art galleries, country festivals, pubs, art centres, care homes, band stands, café terraces and street corners all over Europe. We're most fortunate to have Jon and his talents this evening and it's well worth paying a visit to the Jon Brindley website.

Ben Walker
Ben plays a variety of instruments including Uilleann Pipes, flutes, saxophone and whistles. He plays mainly traditional Celtic music with his partner Chris Knowles. Ben writes his own original songs on which he sings and plays guitar. He has released several CD's with Chris plus two CD's of his original songs and 2 more of traditional Celtic music. Chris Knowles
Chris is also a multi-instrumentalist with the Celtic harp being his main instrument but he's also most accomplished on the Irish bouzouki, whistle and low D whistle. In contrast to the Celtic music, Chris also plays improvised music styles using electric mandolin along with alto and soprano saxophones. Learn some more about Chris on the Chris Knowles website.
