We are very much looking forward to presenting Scotland's internationally acclaimed Calum Ingram on his first visit to Number 39.
From his roots in Paisley, Scotland Calum grew up with a rich mix of blues, Americana, folk and rock music. When his classical cello training at school collided with his dad's Jimi Hendrix records, a new and unique way to express his deep, heartfelt creativity was formed.
Tutored at the 'New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music' in Manhattan he soon got into New York music scene where he very much got noticed. Nominations and awards followed, including The Midtown Theatre Festival Award for Best Sound Design and The Danny Kyle Award for Songwriting.
Calum has worked with diverse artists such as Chad Watson, Lorraine and The Borderlands, Gordy Duncan Jr and has supported Blues Rock legend Jack Bruce at The Queens Hall during Edinburgh's Jazz and Blues Festival. Whether it's a Scandinavia tour, headline act at Scotland's Wickerman Festival or playing in New York's Rockwood Music Hall, Calum has captivated audiences internationally and continues to do so with passion, creativity and honesty.
Take a look at the Calum Ingram Website where you can watch some videos and read more.
