The Victor Brox Dream Team

Thursday 31st January 2019 9pm

3 On the Door

It's with immense pride that at our little bar in Darwen we can welcome tonight the much acclaimed Victor Brox and his Dream Team.

To put this into perspective none other than Jimi Hendrix and Tina Turner declared that Victor Brox was their favourite white blues singer. In fact Victor tells a little story that whenever he appeared on stage with Hendrix, Jimi would refuse to sing saying "when you're here you're the singer, I just play guitar".

Manchester's Victor Brox has a history which is most impressive in that he has worked with many famous names including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Gillan of Deep Purple, Charlie Mingus, Memphis Slim, Dr. John, Aynsley Dunbar, Graham Bond, Alexis Korner, John Mayall, Country Joe McDonald, Peter Bardens and Keith Moon. In addition, Victor performed as Caiaphas on the original recording of Tom Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar and even appeared as a "look-alike" of Leonardo da Vinci in the motion picture Ever After.

For tonight the Dream Team line-up will be Victor Brox on Vox, Keyboards and Vocals, Boo Lee on Bass and Clive 'Blues Boy' Mellor on Harmonica. Together they will be giving us one very special treat which is certainly not to be missed.

Take a quick preview of Victor Brox on YouTube playing his own composition Money Talks.
